numbers help

Options
Ok well I am thinking I want to switch from the MFP calculations to TDEE but the numbers seem really high. So I was hoping someone with experience can look at them and tell me what they think.
Height 5' 11"
neck 17.5
waist 47.5
weight 286
exercise 5 days a week

the calculator I used gave me this:

Your BMR is: 2527.4
Your BMI is: 39.9
Minimum Calorie requirement is: 3917
Your Body Fat is 34.3%.

SO my TDEE is 3917, which seams really high
if I take 30% from it
3917 *30%=1175 3917-1175=2742

My biggest concern is that 2742 is 200-500 more calories than I eat normally.
also I know that the 30% is a lot, but I plan on dropping it incrementally as I loose weight.

thanks for any feed back

If you are concerned about adding so many calories, just add a couple hundred at a time and see how it goes. Those online calculators are only estimates and can be off on an individual basis.
