I have had type 1 for 12 years and I am having trouble adjusting my insulin for exercise and getting a lot of lows. I mentioned it to my doctor before and he just said to have a snack, but that's still not really fixing the issue.

I take 2 units per 15 grams of carbs at meals using novalog and 30 units of lantus at night. Yesterday afternoon I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 mins in I made sure to check that it was ok. Skip to before bed now, had dinner hours prior with insulin, before bed it was 108, took my lantus and had a banana. I woke up a few hours later to it being 54, drank a juice box and woke up to it at 88. The morning prior it was 48.

What did you do to keep yours on track?

I plan to ask the doctor again and maybe he will be a bit more concerned...

Also, feel free to add me! I'd love to have other type 1's for support
