New to MPF, but certainly not weight loss.

Hi all, I'm new here and am looking to make friends with active MPF members! First, a bit about myself and my journey is in order, eh?
I had twin girls in 2006. After they were born I managed to lose almost 100lbs, but unfortunately gained it all back plus. I am currently at the absolute heaviest I have ever been in my life and it's time to make a change. I feel motivated and inspired, as recent issues with the health of others around me have sort of snapped me back to reality. I plan to be there for my girls as long as I possibly can.
I recently saw a metabolic doctor who told me I am on the fast track to diabetes, essentially. With my weight and family history, we're looking at a slew of potential problems to come. My blood pressure has been creeping up for years, too. My mother was a ya-yo dieter my whole life and I don't want to continue that vicious cycle. There is a mental component in play that I need to address as well, and I am seeking a psychiatrist that specializes in disordered eating to help me.
So, there you have it! Encouragement and support are welcome!

Also, feel free to add me! I am surfing the boards and adding folks that have expressed being open to making more friends. I really feel like accountability will be helpful for me.0
