So far so good

I clearly remember seeing the family pictures that were taken over this past Christmas, and the first thing I thought when I saw me was … I seriously need to lose some weight!

This really wasn’t news to me, I had been worrying about my weight and in general health for too long, but seeing those pictures did it, seeing myself as other saw me I knew something had to be done, but where to turn? Luckily, when I found myfitnesspal I quickly realized that it wasn’t too much about dieting, but simply eating smarter.

What intrigued me the most was how once you enter your info and the amount of weight loss you’re looking at, it shows not just your maximum calories, but also maximum fat, carbs, and protein (among others if you choose to set it up in the settings), which I’m sure we all discovered.

This is finally something that works for me, I’m four weeks in and I’m down twelve pounds, Wah Hooo!

I’ve also been throwing in about fifteen to twenty minutes a day of strength training using resistance bands, very cool if you don’t have room for exercise equipment.

I have six pounds to go before I get to the mark I set, thank you myfitnesspal, and good luck to all of you.
