How many days to lose 3lb water weight?

I'm curious how long it typically takes to lose 3 pounds in pure water weight after eating higher sodium foods and exercising a bunch.
Monday-Wednesday I did a *TON* of exercise and was sore each day afterward, including today. In addition, Tuesday and Wednesday my dinners were pretty high in sodium, but I didn't go over maintenance calories. Today, I ate a little less than normal and did a 20-minute elliptical workout -- nothing strenuous.

It just took me 5 days to get rid of the water weight from eating Chinese food last weekend LOL0

It can take hours, it can take days... no one really knows.0

I don't know, but the water weight you're carrying now could possibly be from the water your sore muscles are retaining. They need it for recovery too. n the harder you're pushing them, the more likely they are to hold onto it. j/s. I wouldn't stress about it. Take yourself some measurements too, so that you have a secondary way of judging your progress/damage other than the fickle scale.0

I can do it in 8 hours, assuming it is actually water.0

exercise at 130 bpm for 2 hrs in one day drink 6 cups of water...and the next all that stuff (5 pds) may be gone if not in two days! good luck!0

Honestly, I gain and lose 3-4lbs of water weight a day depending on how hydrated I am.0

Unfortunately, no one can give you the answer to that. Not even measuring the length of time it takes you this time will give you a gauge for next time. It is on a case by case basis. I have lost 3 lbs. of water weight in a few hours. I have also lost 3 lbs. of water weight in two weeks.
If you truly want to see body weight by water, you need to purchase a scale that tells you your body water and then you can figure out your "actual" weight with a simple reduction equation.0
