Still track calories on days that you've gone WAY over?

When I track all my calories and see all the food listed down, I'm less likely to "fall off the wagon." But there are days that I have gone out (partying) with friends, had lots of cocktails and appetizers. Those are the days that I don't bother to track because I've gone WAY over my calories allowed. Denial. LOL

Are there days that you skip tracking calories? Or do you do it no matter what you eat/drink that day?

  • I always post even if i go over. Because when I visualize the actual calorie count it makes me realize ...."hey look at you falling off", "you better get back on it" LOL. If I see it then it will stay on my mind.

I track and it's mainly just to see where it was that I got thrown over and how I might tighten it up. I have noticed that I typically have a day every 2-3 weeks where I just go over and I don't beat myself up over it! Eat, drink, and be merry!

Yes, I still do too. That way I can see exactly how many calories I went over, it gives me a gauge of the calorie count of certain foods for the future, and it also helps me decide how to handle the rest of the week in terms of exercise and diet.

I log everything, every day, good or bad. Nothing is not "allowed". I am an adult and I am only accountable to myself. Tracking calories is just that... tracking calories. You can have, eat, drink anything you want, as long as you recognize that the outcome will be directly affected by the input.

Depends on how you use the diary. I personally like to track everything if I can, but I'm not going to go calling up the local restaurants badgering the employees for the nutritional information. I've been there, and I'll tell you that most places don't unless they're large chain restaurants. lol

I try to log everything (except hard liquor; but that's a complicated exception having to do with my diabetes and some very specific metabolic chemistry).
