firstly, being cold actually helps with fat loss, fat is there to burn to keep you warm.
Secondly, yes to bodyweight but bodyweight can be off putting to some people because it seems so hard when you have a lot of extra bodyweight to move (it was for me). Please check out the workouts on NOWLOSS.com - I believe they are well structured and achieveable by all.0 -
When I first started exercising, I bought one of these (a very basic non electronic elliptical) http://www.amazon.com/Gazelle-1285-Edge/dp/B0000AS7W2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360312980&sr=8-1&keywords=gazelle+edge
And one of these (a stair climbing machine that fits under my bed): http://www.amazon.com/Stamina-40-0045C-InStride-Electronic-Stepper/dp/B000AMX3AM/ref=sr_1_17?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1360313064&sr=1-17&keywords=step+machine
Not saying to buy those particular products, but maybe look into some cheap storable exercise equipment? Also you can look into running programs like c25k (couch to 5k). I'm currently doing the Zombie 5k app for my phone and running outdoors. Oops, just saw it's too cold for you to do outdoor activities. But keep this in mind when it's warmer.
Also, there are tons of exercise DVD's out there. Find one you think you'd like. And as above, body weight exercises are great.0 -

You do not need to consume to get fit. Why is it always buy, buy, buy.0 -

At my unfittest I started out doing 13 sit ups, twists and stretches of a morning....took less than 10 min (in all honesty a lot less when i first started and was very 1/2 assed!) felt aches and twinges here there and everywhere...gradually I increased it and added various streches here and there and now its easier - cost nothing and is effective!
With me it all depends how much I want it as to how much I do...its easy to think 5 more min in bed....cant be bothered...its not working...but all thats cancelled out when I try clothes on and they dont fit and I could have done something about it :-/0 -

I read just fine. Consumer.0 -
Well, you can't spot reduce fat. Just focus on eating a little less and moving a little more, and it will get easier as time goes on.0
