I didnt know you could change the names - how do you do that?
Mind you ,it doesnt matter really - the diary records your total for the day - how it is split throughtout the day doesnt actually effect anything.0 -
The option is under Settings on the top right, then the sub-menu 'Diary Settings'.
It would be great if the Reports allowed you to see your calories under each meal over weeks or months. Even comparing percentages could be interesting and useful.0 -
Thank kae blah - I dont have much imagination so will keep meals as breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks - but have made separate section for drinks which I think will be useful.0

I have breakfast, lunch, snacks, post workout, and dinner, I don't eat at very regular times and I don't always eat like 3 meals a day, portions at my school are pretty small so I might eat 4 or 5 times a day so I add breakfast, whatever i eat when we go to lunch and go to dinner, and my shake after workout, but then anything else I eat i put as snacks
I might eat dinner before or after post workout, or i might have snacks still after dinner, so like it's not really in order of eating0 -

Too Early for Breakfast - For those days when I'm out late and it's like 2am and I'm eating but I haven't gone to bed yet, but in reality, it's morning.

Bumping this thread to see more. I am considering changing my meal names, mostly because I find I'm not eating at traditional meal times. My meals sometimes feel like snacks, and my snacks turn into meals. When logging becomes a chore (because I can't figure out how to categorize) it's time for a change.
Some seen here that I may adopt:

I have no idea why I never added another lunch lol. I just fill in the next option as I go through the day even if it's small snacks sometimes and time of day doesn't matter. I don't always fill them all. It's just a way of breaking up eating so I can see what I put together if I go back to look another day.

Yes, it's a pretty old thread. There were more recent threads about meal names, but none had as many responses. Lots of irritated posts to "Suggestions and Feedback" about how deleting meals changed everything previous. (This place is really one giant database, so it does makes sense.)
I like "noshes" - that's a word from my childhood I don't hear much now. Adding it to my list

A lot of my calories are drinks. If I exercise enough for a treat I am most likely to be tempted by a Hot Chocolate or Chocolate Frappé.
Are you using the standard meal names? If not, why did you change them?
My meals are labeled 0000-0600, 0600-1200, 1200-1800, 1800-0000 (12am-6am, 6am-1200pm, 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am for those who don't understand 24hr time).
I can he's them because I work over night shifts. Setting it up this way keeps it consistent and also matches calories burn during the day from my vivosmart.0 -

I don't care when I eat, so I just separate based on what I eat together just to make everything readable and to see general calorie amounts for each meal.0
