Hey guys! So, today I went for unprocessed foods (Trying to make this a thing) and I went quite a bit over my average protein and sugar intake. But is it acceptable if the sugar is from fruits/vegetables, and the protein from Poultry (Eg chicken, eggs). I really need to know so I can either stop or continue with this!
Thanks lovelies, and if you want to add me, feel free!

Protein: MFP sets the default at 15% of calories from protein. However, you can eat up to 30% of your calories from protein before it is considered a "high protein diet." And eating more protein is advantageous for people losing weight because it keeps you fuller on fewer calories and helps preserve lean body mass (i.e. everything other than fat, such as muscles).
Sugar: For some reason, MFP sets the sugar target really low. I think they are setting a limit for added sugar, but then counting all sugar. Based on World Health Org. and USDA recommendations, 50 grams of sugar in a 2000 calorie diet is about right.0 -
Thank you very much! I kinda went like.... 51 grams over in protein. Ahh well, it was delicious and nutritious! And now I am incredibly full, so everybody wins!0
