Apples-WHOPPING SUGAR CONTENT???

So, I thought an apple a day kept the doctor away?

What is the deal with my lovely Honey Crisp Apple putting me over the edge on my sugar content and I've only eaten breakfast so far!!!!!!!!!! I thought apples were low on the glycemic index, no??

I love apples and used to have like 2 a day and still lost weight. Should I scale down to two a week?

    95% of the goodness is in the peel. Eat that and throw the rest.
  • Low on the glycemic index yes. Not low in sugar though! I've started eating some ryebread instead. Same amount of calories, much more satisfying.

    I don't know anyone who got fat from eating too much fruit. Eat as many apples as you like.
