I have been using myfitnesspal for a couple weeks now. It is a great tool to keep track of calories in and calories out. I had a good week then a bad week and this week has been really good. I would love to have some online friends to keep up the motivation.
I am originally from NY and moved to Portland 6 years ago. When I moved here I was working on getting my weight down. I gained a ton when I got here but then started with a trainer. My weight went down but then it has been a yo-yo ride ever since. My biggest weakness is drinking beers/wine with friends. Once I have an adult beverage I lose all will power.
Again my biggest challenge is sweets/snacking and adult beverages. My boyfriend does not need to watch what he eats so it is really hard to resist. I have had a really successful week this week and need for it to continue. I have a great trainer and have been training in the Crossfit style. We meet 4 times a week. I am also working on my first "official" 5k in April. I tried a 5k on the treadmill the other day and I completed it without walking or stopping (but did hold on to the rails a few seconds here and there) so I know i can do an official one.
I have a long way to go. I definitely need as much motivation as I can get. Thanks for listening!

I just read that you make costumes for a ballet production. Which one? I think that is awesome! I really enjoy sewing but don't do it very often.0

Our little local dance school is performing Alice in Wonderland. It's SO much fun! I love the fantasy type shows where I can really cut loose and make some crazy/fun costumes. You can only sew so many princesses and swans before it starts to get boring. hahaha0
