Hello everyone! My name is Megan, and I'm currently studying to be a Registered Dietitian. I'm all about food, and discovering the benefits and pros, how they work and so on!

I figured I could maybe share my personal opinions with you!

I've always believed you should never diet. I always believed you should make lifestyle changes. Just because it fits in your RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowances), doesn't always mean it is best for your body. Think of it this way: Pizza..super delicious, right? Well, one slice of a medium cheese pizza is roughly 240 calories. The average person burns 4 calories a minute...that would mean you would have to walk EXACTLY ONE HOUR to burn it off!!

Think logically about what you are putting in your body.

In conclusion, If there is one thing I've learned in my 'line of work' it's that determination is what will get you results. If you want to be thin, get healthy, or just lose 5 pounds, you have to want it! You have to devote the time and energy to it. Yeah, it sucks sometimes, but when the results show and you feel healthier, it's all worth it! To those who are struggling with health issues, know that if you don't see results right away, that's okay. You don't have to lose 10 pounds in a week to feel accomplished. Stay motivated, and don't lose track of what is important, and that's your overall health. :)
