So, as a reward for myself crossing the first 5 lbs mark, I went out and bought a pretty nice heart rate monitor (the chest-strap/ watch combo)... I also bought the Wii Jenny McCarthy "Your Shape" (which was pretty stinkin' fun, I must admit)...

Obviously, I trust the heart rate monitor's results as to how many calories I burned- which was 300.... HOWEVER, the "Your Shape" calculated that I burned 642!!!! That's QUITE the difference!!!

Does anyone else have this problem of trusting a machine...??? I assume I should just trust the HRM?? Help!

    I'd trust the HRM.

Always trust the HRM... afterall, it's only inches from your heart, sending an electrical charge through it, and Jenny McCarthy isn't.

I trust the HRM, played golf today and wore my heart rate monitor, 3 hours = 650 Cal's, this web site says it is supposed to be more like 1000+ :S
