What is "high sodium"?

So, when I look at a nutritional label, what % dv or amount of mgs should I be looking for that indicates a food is "high sodium"? For example, I know that 5g of fiber, or 20% DV, is considered "high fiber." Assuming I don't have any blood pressure or heart problems (or any health problems, really, other than being obese), what should I be looking for sodium content in food?

RDA from Canada's food guide is 2400 mg/day max.

I just started Ian Smith's Shred diet/exercise program. We can have soup for some of our meals, but are to watch sodium content. He says it should be no more that 480 mg per serving. He also points out that eating things made with sea salt gives you the flavor but has less sodium content.

Not sure how that translates into a % for you, but hopefully it helps some.

Don't be fooled by sea salt. It's 96-98% sodium chloride. No real difference from table salt (by weight) except for trace minerals.
I have heard that the larger crystal may give you a saltier perception. I'm not convinced.
