Too much water can have negative repercussions, but it has to be upwards of 3 gallons (9+ liters). I'm no expert, but I do know that it's more about how much you drink at a time than how much you drink overall. If you drink a liter or two at once, you run the risk of overloading your kidneys. This leads to a condition called water intoxication... aka, too much water in your system. If you aren't drinking it all at once, you should be fine.0

how much is it suggested that we drink in a time?0 -
I know drinking too much water is harmful, as said it overloads your kidneys. I have always limited myself to between 200-300ml per intake (say one small glass) of room temperature water. I try not to drink water straight from the fridge, I was told that room temp water is absorbed and used by your body in a better way. Not sure how true that is, but I don't like cold water anyway. But for the whole day, I pour a 2 litre jug at breakfast and use it up through the day so it is finished by the time I go to bed.0
