Started my journey today - ruined it with a fried brunch!!

So glad I joined this. I really don't think about what I'm eating and once I entered my breakfast/lunch for today was shocked that I had consumed over 800 calories in one sitting. Add that to my cups of tea and coffee (with 2 sugars) I'm not off to a great start.
However, it has made me think about how I can reduce my intake. Definitely going to be cutting out those hot drinks at work and swapping for water.
My aim is to lose 20lbs in total to be a healthy weight. Any smaller and I look ill.
Anybody else just started their healthier lifestyle?

I started at the end of January.. The thing I like about this site is that I have to think about what I am eating now, instead of mindlessly shoveling food into my mouth..
I'm slowly cutting down the coffee, thankfully I dont put sugar in it..

I started the beggining of January. Like this alot better than weight watchers. It helps realize what I'm eating. So far down 8.8 pounds. hope to loose another 21 more pounds to be at my goal, which I set for myself. They say I should weigh about 135 which I find to be to small. I used to weight 145 and felt great at that weight. So that is were I feel I should be. Good like on your journey and hope you do well.0

Hi, your journey is not ruined! Part of the journey is to learn what you are eating and how to change it. Please don't look at that in a negative manner. Diets can be ruined, healthy lifestyles are part of your journey for life.0

Hello! I am totally with you on the not thinking about what I eat much. Today is my first day using the food diary and I had pizza for lunch Wasn't planing on pizza but I had to take my son to a birthday party. It's really neat how the food diary works, I am super excited to be using it now.

Hey don't beat yourself up. You can do better for the rest of the day. Also tomorrow is a new day. Make different choices. Try tea with lemon. That's about 45 calories. You can do it0

I have about 30 pounds to lose to be healthy. I eat a wide variety of food but in small portions, some of it is even fried but I only take a couple of bites and go on to something else. This has taken me time but is well worth it, don't feel limited on food choices. If you need any friends you can add me.0
