Hello, my advice would be to not buy chocolate!! I'm crazy about cereal, but i notice if I don't buy the kind i like I don't eat it!! Also there are chocolates out there that are ok to eat sometimes. Dark chocolate is good for you. Best of luck and feel free to add me:)0

I love chocolate, too. Mainly baked goods (brownies, cakes). I found VitaCakes in the freezer section, they're little brownies that stay frozen, and you microwave them. They only have 50 calories, and less sugar and more vitamins than an apple!
My advice would be NOT to try and cut chocolate out all together. I find if you deny yourself a certain food, it just makes you crave it more.0 -
I agree - don't buy chocolate and stay away from that area of the store for now. Have chocolate on very special occasions, like your birthday.0

Sugar free chocolate pudding would be a good alternative . It's only 60 calories. I also Iike no sugar added icecream, however it does have a few more calories.0

Hi fellow chocaholic! I found milky way magic stars fun size bags have less than 70 cals each, and you feel like you're really eating chocolate (as opposed to cakes/puddings etc) I seem to need a daily chocolate fix and this does the trick.
Also if you don't buy it you can't eat it!
I have to have chocolate in the house as I have 2 small kids and a husband who can't live without it, so I try to buy chocolate I'm not that fond of for them0 -
I feel you pain! I find what works for me is a 90 Calorie Fiber 0ne brownie bar. Good luck!0

Find a low-calorie chocolate treat that's satisfying to you. Then, plan to have it in the evening. That way, you have something to look forward to. It could be a hot chocolate, a homemade chocolate shake (with ice, milk and chocolate syrup) or some other alternative that won't do too much damage.0

we buy a high quality chocolate bar... and eat 3 squares ( 1 row ) - slowly- every night for desert/snack. it's not a lot of bad calories. it's tasty - it feels like a reward for a day well done0

I am a chocolate lover too. Here's a thread where I got lots of great suggestions:

So far I bought fudge popcicles (40 calories each) and some dark chocolate baking chips.
I do agree with not bring high cal chocolate items in your home if you know that it is difficult for you to have in moderation.0 -
For me it's all or nothing with chocolate so to keep me on track I choose nothing! I can go weeks/months without chocolate and I'm fine but then if I had 1 chocolate bar I'd want more. So I never buy it, it's never in the house to tempt me.
I admire people who can use the words 'chocolate' and 'moderation' in the same sentence. :laugh:0 -
I like chocolate also, so I bought choc frozen yogart. Its just like icecream and 1 cup is only 1800

I worked for a very well known chocolate company for a while. I got to visit the factories where the chocs were made....when I saw how long these chocs sit around for before being sold it put me right off, for example they will start making Easter Eggs a whole year ahead, bleurgh.0

That's what I do- fortunately I'm able to eat a small quantity and then stop. DH bought me chocolates for my birthday and I'll be fine- one per day. They'll last a long time but he knows that's how I eat them.0 -

I totally agree, Out of sight out of Mind!0 -
It's hard to fight temptation but one thing worked for me when I find something I really want to eat is to look at it (a good deep look), imagine it's calories / sugar / carbs etc. going in my stomach and turning into HUGE arms / hips / thighs and then I smile, look at the food and say "you can't feel me ! I am the one who will suffer shedding off calories not you .. it's not worth it to have you my sweet chocolate / bread / cake cuz you give me trouble, you're just not my friend "
well that's how it works every time0 -
Where are you reading that says you cant have some chocolate? Half it, instead of the entire thing:) that way you dont feel deprived and find yourself sitting down and eating many many many pieces later on:) Everyone has their own plan that works for them..soo not sure which one you have chosen:) YOU CAN DO IT:)0
-
This is how I am with potato chips, sooo I dont buy them, but I do like something sweet sometime:) Soooo I do relate..lol0

The plan I'm on we eat alot of protein bars for a meal or snack. Its helps when you in a hurry. I've lost 26 lbs in 46 days so far. There is several really good protein bars that I have found. The OhYeah almond chocolate fudge is awesome. I feel as if I cheated. I have ate these large bars for breakfast and lunch. The Nogii peanut butter chocolatec bar is good too.Sugar Free jello helps the sweet tooth too.
Oh and then today I tried the Chocolate Rice cakes. Added just a swipe of peanut butter and it was really good.0 -
I found keeping small, individually wrapped pieces of dark chocolate (that's very rich) helped me. I would have one after dinner to satisfy my sweet craving and that was it. I kept them out of sight as well, so they weren't taunting me all the time.
That being said, that was the ONLY chocolatey thing I would usually buy. I don't buy cookies or other things like that anymore. I'm a firm believer in moderation, so the dark chocolate thing helped me still indulge without going overboard.0 -
Don't cut it out completely because you'll feel deprived. Have chocolate, but limit yourself. Kit kats (snack snize) work for me, 107 calories of chocolatey goodness!!!!!0

Hi. I'm a fellow choc addict. I find that if I don't have chocolate in the house I won't crave it as badly. Same with biscuits. If I have to have chocolate, I just buy a small bar as I know if I buy anything bigger, I will eat all of it. My newest trick is low cal hot chocolate. If very sweet tooth I add some sweetener. It really works for me :-)0
-
Hi I take chromium picolinate It stops sweet cravings as I have a very sweet tooth an this is one pill that DOES work :-)0
-
I like this idea!!!0
-
I have heard of this and heard it works very well!0
