Frittata recipe

I found a great recipe but it calls for 8 eggs, can I use 4 eggs and four egg whites?

    You might want to use 4 eggs and 8 egg whites. I never know what to do with the yolks then.... usually I'll want to make creme brulee, but that's not very healthy, is it? :) I guess I could toss the yolks, but I'm cheap so I hate to see food go to waste.

    We have a dog. I microwave discarded yolks and then chop them in to the dog's food.
