Hello All!

I am on Day 5 of tracking what I eat accurately through MyFitnessPal.com. I am very excited to begin this new journey towards weight loss. Yes, I have tried to lose weight with organized programs in the past, but generally lost motivation after a few months. I hope that establishing an online community here will help me stay loyal to myself and my weight loss this time. I am going to start with several attainable short-term goals as well as one long-term overall goal.

Short Term:
Lose 10 lbs by my 24th birthday (04/24)
Fit comfortably into my favorite size 12 skirt by summer break (05/13)
Lose 20 lbs by my family reunion (07/02)

Long Term:
Fit comfortably into my old stash of favorite size 10 jeans (12/10)
Weigh 170 lbs or less by the end of 2010

I am an ex-athlete who steadily became more and more sedentary through college. I also worked at a brewery and gained weight as I waited tables there. I am now out of college and ready to start my adult life as a healthy and motivated individual. If I sound like someone who you might like to support and receive support from, please add me as a friend.

Thank you for your time, and best of luck on your weight loss journey towards health!
Cheers! Jessa

Thank you for all of your warm welcomes and support!

ltlhmom, I have my B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and am now working on a B.S. in Nursing. I played year-round volleyball until college, now I've been meeting with a trainer and trying to get strong and healthy again! Thanks for your support, lets do this together!
