spartan race prep

Hi everyone, so one of my goals this year is to run and complete a spartan race this August. I am all signed up. It is just the 5k. Right now I am about 180 pounds, and can run 2.5 miles with out stopping on the treadmill.

I am looking for advice from others who have competed in these races.
What types of exercises should I get good at?
What type of training should I be doing?
what should I wear?

Any thing else that you think I should do or have to be prepared.
