Heart rate monitor..

I got a heart rate monitor but the calories burned it calculates seems really low. According to MFP and 4 or 5 other heart rate versus calories burned calculators I would've burned 70ish calories in 10 minutes but my HRM says 25. I'm 21 about 146lbs working out for 10 minutes at about 130 heart rate. Any ideas?

Go with the HRM. MFP estimates really high. Depending on how much you have to lose, you will burn fewer calories than someone larger.0

That's why a HRM is a great investment. Now you know how much you're really burning.0

This was why I finally invested in a HRM w/ fitness watch. I'd go to the gym and the cardio machine would say one thing and the app about double that. The MFP app almost doubles what is actually burned. After using my monitor I have found that the machines under estimate and the app way over estimates. Trust the monitor.0
