Paleo...do you lose faster?

I am doing a weight loss challenge and I am half way though it. So far I've been solely logging my calories, exercising and trying (key word) to eat clean. I'm considering trying Paleo for the last half of the challeng in hopes that a big change will help me lose a little quicker (so far I'm losing abou 1.5-3 lbs per week). I also wanted to try it to see how my body responds to taking out dairy, grains, etc.

I know everyone is different but I just wanted to see if any of you noticed that you started to lose faster (or not) once you switched over. Thanks!

    Paleo isn't magic. No, you won't lose faster. It can be considered healthier, sure, but better for weight loss? Not if you're already tracking calories.

    Is this a fat loss or weight loss challenge? If the latter, perhaps consider low carving before the end; you'll drop a lot of water weight prior to the weight in.
