I just joined MFP yesterday. I have been trying to lose the few extra pounds that I have put on around the midsection for the last few months. I strated working out almost every day for 30 to 45 minutes once or twice per day. The only thing I noticed was that the scales showed that I had gained 4 to 5 pounds in that time even though I had cut down the portions that I eat. This was very frustrating. After talking about this problem with a friend I found MFP on the web and since I have a iphone I can track all calories I put into my mouth everyday all day. This gives me hope that I can find the problem and acheive my goal.

Welcome! It could be that you are gaining muscle or you aren't eating enough in calories. Have you taken your measurement?Sometimes you loss inches and not weight.0

I did measure my self today, but my clothes feel tighter not looser. Now that I have found MFP I can track everything I put in my mouth to see if I am taking in enough calories. Thanks.0
