Whey Protein verses Egg Protein....Which one is better? Presently I use an egg powder protein but now I am starting to lift weights and am wondering if I should switch over to a whey base instead. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!!

    just eat eggs
  • Both egg and whey proteins are good choices and I wouldn't say one is necessarily better than the other. Whey protein is a faster digesting protein than egg protein, so is a good choice to have just after a workout. You could always mix the two so you get the benefits of faster and slower digesting proteins.

Obviously getting your protein from foods is a better choice but not always practical especially if you are trying to up your daily protein intake.

Thanx! Mixing both sounds like a pretty good idea!! I'll try that!
  • A lot of brands now sell protein blends which contain whey, egg and casein proteins. Saves having lots of different tubs open :)

That would certainly cover all the bases!!
  • Depends on your goals.
Whey is great for post workout or breakfast.
Egg Protein can be used for meal substitutes or just added protein.
I find Whey much more satisfying
