  • I like Jay Robb, no artificial sweetners but does have stevia. I add it to yogurt or cottage cheese or use it in some recipes. I dont like the chunk factor in shakes so I have not tried it as an actual shake but just add it to things for just a bit more protein.
  • I use blue bonnet whey isolate, which is also sweetened with stevia. I like it because sometimes I have a hard time reaching my protein goals otherwise, and I want to retain as much muscle mass as possible while losing, which protein helps with. I don't drink a shake every day, since I try to get most of my protein from meat/fish, eggs, (obviously not an option for you), and dairy - lots and lots of kefir, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, but some days I still don't hit my goal, especially since I'm on a budget. It's a relatively cheap and non-perishable protein source.

You don't have to use whey protein if you are a vegetarian, there are many options out there. As for whey protein, I also use Jay Robb's and have found it to be the best flavor and texture when using in things other than boring old shakes. @ Dianne - I've never had Jay's pp chunk up, you should try it in a shake.

Quick way to get protein if you're short on the day. Whey is better source than soy since soy does interact with estrogen hormones in the body (according to study).

I'm not at home, sadly, so I can't check the container itself, but according to the MFP database, the chocolate powder has 3g of carbs, 0g of fiber, and 0g of sugar.
