5/3/1 Triumvirate and Dips

I've been doing 5/3/1 with a plan I printed off from strstd, but I haven't read the book, and I have two questions.

1. My gym has an assisted dip machine. Are the accessory dips supposed to be wide or narrow per the program?

2. 5/3/1 seems to be wave loading. Am I supposed to do the work portion in two sets of 5/3/1 or just the 5/3/1?

Meh, if I had the book I wouldn't have to ask.

    Thanks though, great advice.

    1. Whatever gets you the best workout with the least strain. Don't sweat accessory work, because that's what it is: an accessory. I personally do narrow grips.

    2. Just the 5/3/1

    Skip the assisted dips.
Try doing negative dips and holds instead, until you can do a full dip.
