I tore a tendon in my rotator cuff 6+ months ago. Got steroid injections, rest, and stopped doing any exercises that use my arm. Started back trying to slowly be able to do arm and shoulder workouts (no weight) but after 3 days I am back where I started" weakness in my fingers and pain when my arm is even at rest. I am not wanting surgery, so has anyone experienced this and have any help for me.

I had rotator cuff pain and so I Googled my condition. Lots of sites with physical therapy exercises. The two that I do the most often are squeezing and holding my shoulder blades together and standing in a door way, pressing with both arms. I do both several times a day. It was slow to improve but I think after two months, I am much stronger than where I started. Good luck to you.:flowerforyou:

Most insurance plans will pay for physical therapy with a prescription - just be clear with your surgeon that you DO NOT want surgery. (They're human - and that's how they make their money.)

Find a PT with a lot of experience in rotator cuff injuries, who will spend time with you and not pawn you off on a trainee or cut your treatment short. A good PT is better than the best personal trainer you ever had - and will even give you advice on how to avoid future injuries.
