Hello! I am new to this site and would like to introduce myself! I had Lap Band surgery 3/11/2010...it is surely an eye opening experience thus far! I myself have been in total denial of the 100 lbs( give or take!) that has weighed me down for many years now. I am 42 yrs young! I had a pacemaker implanted in 9/2006 due to heart failure and a host of other medical problems. I decided to lose the weight and see whats left! Wish me luck!

Best of luck brzynga! I had the surgery on June 23, 2008. I'm still on my journey to reach my goal. But tracking my calories and exercise on this site and the friends I've made here have helped to motivate me tremendously.

Welcome and Good Luck! This site is amazing! I'm sure you will love it. The people are the best and the accountability is great too! I know you can meet your goal!!!!
  • Hi Bryznga. I'm new to this site, but had LB surgery 11/2009. I'm 40lbs down, and have another 50+/- to go. It is slow, and takes hard, hard work. But so worth it. Let me know how you're doing with the band. You're about 1 month in, so you should be getting out of the mushies soon. Stay encouraged. You're almost through the hardest part.
