Recommend me your reasonably priced trainers for a newbie!

Well I'm not that new to it but I'm really getting in my 30 Day Shred right now and am also looking to do real life exercise classes too but my trainers are rubbish! I'm sliding all over our wooden floors and getting sore knees presumably cos they are so old they take no impact.

So I went into a sports shop today and I was a bit bewildered by the choice and variety in price. Would you all kindly recommend me trainers suitable for indoor exercise and perhaps outdoor running too, preferably under £50 - thank you so much!!

Ask someone at the shop to help you make a choice. If the store is any good they should have someone there that can assess your feet and your gait to make a recommendation of the shoe best suited to you and the activities you plan to do.

Ditto...also, if you're going to run, go to a store that specialized in this...they will determine if you pronate, etc and find the right shoe for you. In RE to price, that sounds about right...my shoes I got were a few months ago were around $120...they're awesome and I wouldn't go on the cheap for a good training shoe. It's the difference between being miserable and in pain...and possible injury to feeling awesome and like you could just go all day long.

Thank you :) I went into town today and all the SA's were massively busy so just left with my new yoga mat and weights (woohoo anyway!) but will bite the bullet and go back in this week - thanks again!

I just bought some Nikes (£50) and can't believe how comfortable they are, wish I'd spent the time before in trying more out perhaps then I wouldn't have avoided exercise! Worth every penny!
