If you make it in the microwave be SURE to use a large bowl and low power. It WILL boil over. I put a little milk and blueberrys in it (fresh or frozen works equally well.)0

ohh I cook mine on Sunday nights for the week, so in the AM I just have to reheat real fast.0

I'm with Tami, I make a big pot on Sunday and reheat individual amounts each morning. 1 cup of dry steel cuts, 4 cups water, 1 tsp salt. Oven @ 325. Cook for 1 or 2 hours until water absorbed....I stir every now and then to make sure its not sticking to the bottom.
In the am when I reheat I add some butter and maple syrup. nmmmmmmmmmmmm
have fun, enjoy! steel cuts are soooooooooooo goooooooooood for you!0 -
You can try the 5 minute steel cut oats by McCann (Irish oatmeal it is called). They are one of my favorite breakfasts! I stir up one tablespoon of natural peanut butter. SOOOOOO yummy.0
