Hey there,
I just have a question and i am curious. I have read on different sites abut what your settings should be, so for
someone like me I sit most of the day because i work from home but I do try to exercise 3 - 4 days a week no less
then 30 mins and sometimes up to 60 mins depending on what I am doing. I don't burn calories in high numbers,
meaning that I don't burn 800 + and above when exercising.
So my question is this ?
Because i work at home should my setting be on Sedentary or set to Moderate or light activity since i do exercise
3 - 4 days a week ? Just curious what your thoughts are and experience with this ?
Thanks

The MFP settings are for your average daily life not including exercise. So you would be sedentary and then add your exercise as you do it.0

Or you can say that you exercise 3-4 days a week and not log exercises, and add any additional things you do.
Up to you. I recommend the recommendation of <=1lb of weight loss a week. If you don't have much to lose, .5.0 -
Well I logg in all exercise I do regardless of if its on Sedentary or Light/Moderate exercise0

^This.
I work from home, too, as a writer, so I believe I qualify as sedentary. I log whatever exercises I do...then I eat back half of them.0 -

Exactly.
I set mine as sedentary as well since I have an office job and I'm sitting at the computer most of the day. Any exercises you do, record them
Better to under-estimate anyway.0 -
When I changed them to see how many calories, On sedentary it was like 1610 and with light activity its 1780 and ive been eating 1900 cause i was trying the "Eat more to Lose" method which had me eating 2136 calories and i dropped it to 1900.
SO your saying i should have my settings at sedentary and then only eat back half of exercise calories ?
Thanks for the replies0 -
