Best nutrition on the go?

My goal is to not be on the road, hungry for a chew of some sort, and resorting to the drive-thrus that seem to be on every other corner in my drive.

What do you keep on hand, in your bag, to satisfy a hunger, whether it is for snack or a meal replacement? Luna bars? Clif bars? Nuts? Gimme your ideas! xo

Find a Protein powder that comes in single serving packets - fill a shaker bottle with water/coconut water or skim milk. Voila! instant filling in-between! You need to check the calories on the froo-froo protein powders as well as protein bars because they are usually NOT conducive for a snack. Snacks should be raw fruits or veggies. Nuts also pack a HUGE amount of calories and calories from fat in a single serving - which is usually never satisfying because the serving size is so small. Have fruits and veg on hand at all times and cut up and in snack size baggies ready to go. Avoid anything carb-ish in the "100 calories" crap snack packs! You can even do hard-boiled eggs - remove the yolks for a quick protein punch! Avoid smoothies at places such as Jamba Juice or LifeSpa UNLESS you've just worked out, and again, check the nutrition facts. A low-calorie non-sweetened yogurt would also work. Just throw a baggie of ice in with it (obviously) . . .hope this helps!
