not a pound down in 2 weeks?

I know we all go through this but I am really getting fed up. I get up every morning at 4am and go the the gym where I hit it hard for 60 minutes! I sweat like there is now tomorrow. My diet is spot on and I am eating all healthy foods with little to no salt and no soda, etc. I have taken this journey before so I know how to get it done.

I had to have my toenail removed due to an injury and had steroid drops I had to put on it for 2 weeks. ????

I had Lasik and had to put steroid drops in my eyes for a week. ???

Other than that no changes and that damn scale has not moved in 13 days and I really want to hit my goal weight before my cruise vacation we splurged for in 31 days. I only have 10 more pounds to go so I can be in that bathing suit without cottage cheese *kitten* hanging out from under it.

I lost 78 pounds 2 years ago and made the mistake of getting off track and gained 30 back. I know how to win this battle but it seems so much harder this time. UGH UGH UGH

Classic internet question "Do you even lift?"

Seriously, though. Do you just do cardio? Or do you add weights? If you don't lift, start lifting. It'll really help.
And maybe change up what exercises you do. Sometimes it could be you're just at a plateau
  • I ran into a similar situation like this back in October I believe .. What I did was to take two weeks, and eat at maintenance calories .. I "gained" 4 pounds after those two weeks, but it was water weight really .. After going back to deficit, two weeks later 7pounds .. every since 1 to 2lbs consistently ..

Open your diary to see if we can give you any pointers. How many calories are you consuming a day??

It's not going to happen overnight, especially if you're not taking rest days.
For me, more water and more good protein has been helping, you might find it helpful for your muscles after a workout.

But 10lbs in a month can be a stretch if you're near your goal weight, keep at it but don't pin your hopes in the holiday date just in case. You want to enjoy your time away!

    This.

Plus, I'm thinking a 10 pound loss in a month is unrealistic, especially if it's your last 10 pounds.
  • have u measured ur self u might not be loosing the pounds but might be loosing inches. x
  • lmao, cottage cheese *kitten*, a way to warm up the crowd,

I would also suggest opening your diary so that we can give you a few pointers.
Are you consuming the calories that you burn? That is what ruined me. I give myself 1310 calories a day and try to burn AT LEAST 200 calories a day doing something and I don't eat back ANY of the calories that I burn.... I am now back on the right track for weight loss. It's definately a waiting game, this weight loss journey! Patience is key but, I know that it's hard.
Good luck. Add me as a friend if you want :)

Eat above your BMR and 20% below your TDEE, Strength training 3 times a week, 10k steps a day.

I think you maybe shooting a little high with 10lb in a month as you don't have much to lose now.

    Good luck
