Having a cold (man flu) sucks

Over the last few weeks I’ve done so well. Last week I exercised off 4,000 calories and even though my weight hasn’t budged for 3 weeks I have seen other benefits (shrinking waistline and my BPM going down when I work out as my body gets stronger).
Guess my main problems are I never have an appetite with a cold and I think if I went to the gym tonight I’d sound like a 200-a-day smoker if I tried doing anything (I sound like a 60-a-day smoker at work today :-/ )
Just added my food for yesterday and I’m hundreds under my recommended lower limit. Would you suggest I should eat more high calorie food to make up for the much smaller appetite or drink more energy boosting drinks like OJ or lucozade?
It’s so frustrating to suddenly grind to a halt when I’ve been on such a good roll

being sick sucks.
I suggest skipping the gym.
Your body needs to rest to fight off what you have.
Without all those exercise calories you should have no problem eating enough to get close to your calorie goal.
If you don't feel hungry, don't FORCE yourself to eat more at the end of the day, just make sure that what you HAVE eaten that day is balanced and not a bunch of crap.0 -
I agree to just skip the gym. You need to let your body rest, and you don't want to make anyone else sick! With your calories, I'd just work on getting nutritious meals and don't worry about eating all of your calories until you're well again. It's hard to make yourself eat when you don't have an appetite, especially when you're sick. But just take care of yourself and you'll be back before you know it!0
