Saturated fat

I have recently switched to whole milk due to a recommendation from a co-worker that it's "better than non fat, 1%, 2%). Upon comparing labels the carb/sugar content is the same which she warned me was different. What is different (obviously) is the fat which I am not worried about higher fat. However, my saturated fat is now about 5-7g over each day. A lot of it comes from nuts, nut butter, cheese, eggs, or milk. I think I will switch back to non fat or 1% milk after my two gallons of whole are gone. My question is is saturated fat going to hinder my progress and is being over 5-7g daily really bad for my body? Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

Nope. 50% of my calories come from fat (primal) & I get more saturated fat than that (usually 30-60g/day) & am beyond healthy. But I also get my fat sources from coconut oil, grass-fed dairy & meats & pastured eggs (NOT the cage free, all vegetarian diet eggs that companies like to pretend are best for you) which is very different from the crap most people get theirs from.

No, you may see better progress. The human body needs a healthy dose of saturated fats for brain function and other bodily functions down to the cellular level.
