So unfair!

My husband weighs 50kg more than me, but to lose weight, he is supposed to eat THREE times as much as me! Doesn't seem right.

A heavier person burns more calories than a lighter person. It makes sense if you think about it. He needs more fuel to move around 50 kg more weight than you do. It wouldn't make sense for him to eat less than you, would it?

IMO it's a bad idea to compare your weight loss to his. He's most likely going to drop weight faster than you.

If only that were true. My BF weighs about 2 stone more than me, can eat at least 600 extra cals than me a day and even without exercising can drop 5lb a week. I have to work my *kitten* off for 1lb a week.

    Sad fact of life.

What's your calorie goal? Do you eat back your exercise calories?

My husband is 217 lbs (started out 225) and his daily allowance is 1700 plus exercise calories. I'm 130 lbs. When I was losing mine was 1400 plus exercise calories. Right now we're eating the same amount because he's losing and I'm maintaining. I feel bad for him, I feel like he should get to have more food than me.

That's just the way it is.. Don't get hung up about it. Keep focusing on your goals and what you need. Other wise you'll spend your time getting angry while he is losing. Just be happy for him and stay positive about your progress! Good Luck !
