Hi everyone,

This is my first ever post so please help! I'm on the third week of my new lifestyle change and I've lost about 7 pounds (my maths is a joke sorry!)

The other two weeks I lost more and seeing as I'm 22, 5'8 and now 181 I really thought I would be losing more than this. I'm eating around 1500 cals a day sometimes more/less and doing the 30 day shred at the same time. I am definitely noticing a difference in my body but I was really hoping the scales would move a bit more! I know I might be hoping for results a bit quickly it's just this one pound loss has really bugged me!

I did have a goal to be at around 150 by June when I go on holiday so I really want to get this weight off!

Can anyone give me any clues as to where I'm going wrong?

Thanks

    Hello!

7lbs in 3 weeks is great! losing 1-2lbs a week is a healthy way to lose and more sustainable.

Yep, here's where you're going wrong...

    Unrealistic expectations.

You need to just stick to what your doing and let the results happen. If you get all caught up in what the scale is doing, you will get frustrated. Frustrations tends to lead to failure.

Never mind losing a pound, LOSE THE DAMN SCALES!!!! they are a hinderence to you!!! they are de-motivating, stupid, unrealiable things that will only get you down!!!!

you just said it yourself!! YOU NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!

forget the numbers!!!! keep going as you are and get rid of that f*cking stupid scale!!!

it means NOTHING!!! what means EVERYTHING is your seeing RESULTS!!!!

    BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Ive had a quick look at your diary and unless you're not logging everything, you're not being very consistent with your calorie intake. some days you're only eating around 800-900 calories.

Consistency and eating the right amount of calories will help!

People get off the scale! PLEASE! Best to keep an eye on you BF% and inches....Weigh in every 3 weeks if you must, when you do your measurements. DO YOUR MEASUREMENTS!.......INCHES tell the truth and BF% tells you if its muscle or fat. That is all you need....CAN't say it enough...GET OFF THE SCALE....PLEASE GOOD LUCK ON ACHEIVING YOUR GOALS, WE"RE ALL HERE TO SUPPORT YOU!!!
  • Thank you so much for the quick replies!

I am going to chuck the scales pronto or BOOM!

I do find it a struggle to eat my 1500 calories especially when I wake up late on the weekend I just eat lunch and dinner, going to have to keep on trying to eat more.

    Again thank you all
