oily skin

First off, i might be posting in the wrong forum but wasnt sure where to put this.

I have been blessed my whole life with beautiful skin... untill now. Ever sence i started eating right, exercising and losing weight, my skin all over my body has become gross with anasty oil film. I shower 4 times a day to keep from smelling like a deep fryer. Am i leaching toxins or what? Have you experienced this? Any ideas on what to do to help this not happen? Thank you for your time.

My brother has this problem. Try an oil absorbing or acne body wash it tended to help him.

Showering as often as you are is making the issue worse, not better. The water actually dries out the skin, making your body want to produce more oil to make up for it. When you first started eating better, you probably were detoxing to an extent. This can go on for a few weeks tops. Now, its probably your body getting dried out from too many showers. Try cutting back to two a day, and eventually back down to 1 a day. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water to flush toxins that way and to keep your body (and skin) hydrated.

I'm the world's biggest fan of showers, but you gotta stop showering 4x a day. It's def NOT your skin leaching toxins, but there are certain aromatic foods that can excrete scent through your pores, onion and garlic are the ones I would think of first. It seems counter-intuitive, but you need to shower less and apply a good lotion to try and rehydrate your skin. The oiliness is likely a rebound of oil production that's a reaction to the overdrying. If you take super hot showers, a lower temperature might help, too.
