Almost lost my pants...

I almost lost my pants yesterday.

To give a bit of a back ground I have three children, girls to be exact. They are 6, 3 (totally defiant) and 1.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going grocery shopping with all three in tow. The actual shopping went smoothly, we checked out and were on the way out of the door. I had to get the 3 and 1 year old out of the cool car cart. As soon as I got the 3 year old out I told her "A, stand right here I need to hold your hand, mommy just needs to get G out" I get baby G out and A decides oh it's a lovely time to dart straight out into the parking lot. I literally have to chase her, baby G on my left hip, when I caught up to A I scooped her up and potato sacked her on my right hip. What a sight that must have been!?! Anyway as I'm carrying both these babies on my hips...my pants start riding down. A isn't helping either and sure enough....plumbers crack. The gentleman bringing my groceries out...oh man I felt so bad for him. I'm sure that wasn't on his list of things to see that day.

I'm between sizes so looks like I need to start wearing my belt.

lol - you probably made his day! Yeah - I would get a belt too! I did similar at the school running to the gate because I was late and having to hold my jeans up - luckily I had a long top on so nobody could see my big butt hanging out!

Yeah, I'm really going to have to wear the belt. My jeans just seem to be getting looser by the day. While annoying with needing to have to pull them up constantly it is still an amazing feeling!
  • what an awesome story! I have 2 kids too and they are NOT fun to take to the store and i have been in this EXACT situation more times than I would like to say...what is it about kids wanting to run out in the parking lot? anyways, your story made me laugh, so thanks for that! I certainly understand the situation and congratulations on being able to look at this and be thankful that you are losing weight enough to lose your pants!!! hahahaa! :P

    Hiya

I am in the exact same situation as you. My 3 are 8, 4 and 11 months. I walk my children everyday back and forth to school as it is only a 10 minute walk there and back. I push the pram and hold onto the other two's hands.

I have lost almost 14 lbs and My jeans are a size 20 (uk sizing) and every few seconds they would creep down and part of my lower half would start to show.
One day I only just made it through the door before they fell down completely. If anyone saw I would have died of embarrassment. I am between size's which is a great thing but also need to change my jeans to leggings which have a better fitting waistlines or buy a belt x

    Laura.
  • Oh my. Get a belt or better yet do you have smaller pants you can pull out to wear. Great job on the weight loss with 3 little ones. I have all boys 5, 3 and 1. It's hard to fit time in to exercise. Keep up the good work.

Chasing kids is exercise. Carrying them is strength training.

I once went the whole day with my jeans on backwards because I'd gotten so used to just pulling them up. No wonder peope looked at me weird.
