Hungry while sick

They say starve a fever and feed a cold. I can't seem to satisfy my cold! I started sniffling on Friday and have been starving ever since. Has anyone had this issue before?

Actually it's "Feed a fever, starve a cold" and it doesn't have anything to do with what you eat. A fever is your body's way of killing off germs because they can only survive at normal body temperature. So feeding a fever by maintaining a high body temperature (drinking hot fluids, keeping warm, etc) you help kill the cold germs.0

I have the opposite problem. Been sick with a wretched cold turned sinus infection, then a relapse, since mid-Dec. I'm hungry, but since I can't taste anything, nothing appeals to me. So I end up just drinking lots of tea.0

I came down with the sickies on Wednesday last week - first two days I was pretty hungry, even had In-N-Out for dinner the second night. But then fever kicked in and for the next couple of days, i didn't feel like eating as much. Weird.
Still on the mend - fever is finally gone, but I'm still congested and coughing. I miss my workouts. And my regular appetite.
