Hi all,
Anyone got any tips on excercises and stuff to target particular areas of the body. Im obsessing with the pounds coming off and geting demoralised when they dont come off as quick as I want.
So........ Change of focus needed. Im going to start monitering my measurements instead for a while. Need some good tips to help start toning specifically hips and thighs.
Cheers all

it would depend on what your specfic target is. for me I carry most of my weight in my thighs so I do began with
10 squats, 10 lunges, 10 jumps, and 10 dead lifts.
I would google the target area you need to work on and put execises for the... and try to see what comes up. livestrong.com is a good place to go.0 -
Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce. You can't choose where the fat comes from.
Take your losses slow and steady. Slow weight loss is lasting weight loss. Fast weight loss includes losing muscle along with water and fat.0 -
actually you can. I went from 29 inches in my thighs down to 28.5 inches in my thighs so it can be done when you hit your target area.0

You cannot target fat loss... you can tighten/build the muscle which pulls everything in making it smaller but you cannot spot reduce fat. Doing crunches for example will not make you lose belly fat... it may tighten the muscles underneath the fat but you will not lose fat there.0 -

actually, that's a bunch of baloney maybe it works for you, but there's no natural way to target fat reduction, you can just lower the overall body fat and your genetics decides where to take it from.0 -
Question for the OP, though:
are we on topic? by "targeting specific areas" do you mean building muscle or losing fat? cause you can definitely target muscle building.0
