I am looking for a nice, simple HRM that strictly provides HR and calories burned. I also want it to be encoded so it doesn't pick up other HRM transmissions or equipment cross transmissions. I don't want anything complicated to set up or a HRM with a bunch of other features.
Any recommendations? I was eyeing the Polar FT4 for women - but even that one seemed to have a lot of features like a clock, timer, alarm etc.

Go with the FT4. You probably won't find a cheaper one that does all that you're wanting. They only get more complicated and expensive from there. The FT4 is a solid base level monitor.
