Day off?

Is it alright to take days off? Treat yourself every once in awhile and get right back on track the next day?

My Parents paid for this expensive Easter dinner, $60.00 per person at an Easter brunch buffet?

I don't want to waste their money and just eat salad and soup... is it alright to eat as healthy as possible, but indulge a little bit?

  • I would think so..if you don't give yourself those times to have a little extra, you'll end up binging later. That's what would always happen for me, like I would give up ALL sweets..I'd be really diligent for about a week, then I'd go and buy like 5 candy bars, a bag of gummy bears and a Pepsi and eat it all in one sitting. Not good! haha..

Haha, thanks. I used to tend to do that as well... I could barely make it a week thought. I'd down 5 candy bars faster than anyone, ha.
  • Yeah, I hate those 10 packs of the mini candy bars!! I would usually buy them and have them almost all gone before I even got home!

I take a day (well, usually 1 meal) off a week, and just eat what I like. Not to say I eat crap, I still eat healthy, but i'll eat more, and maybe eat the stuff I try to avoid somewhat, like maybe a piece of white bread or a serving of pasta. I usually coincide that day with my day off working out because I want to provide a larger shock to my system, from everything I have read, shocking the system every once in a while can be beneficial.
  • Indulge...and do it with gusto! EAT EVERYTHING! Your parents will be pleased, you won't feel guilty for not taking full advantge of their gift...
    AND...
You will feel so incredibly crappy afterward...having eaten all that stuff you don't usually....your body will make you PAY! And you'll feel less inclined to do it again any time soon.

I was wondering the same thing, my sons birthday is next week and we always take them out to dinner of thier choice and didnt really wanna just have a salad and feeling miserable. maybe eat fruit and baby carrots during the day so im not starving myself before dinner.
