Strong lift nutrition question

So according to the member's testimonial, they all got stronger, gain more muscle while lowering their body fat, however Mehdi did not mention anything about bulking or cutting, just eat a clean diet. A clean diet can be surplus or deficit, I've been doing something similar to stronglift which is mostly compound exercise, and now I've been eating abou 400-500 cal surplus for 4 weeks and I gained 2kgs and fat gain is inevitable I know. The weight that I've been able to lift has increased steadily. So my question is when I start cutting, would I still be able to get stronger? Gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time is not impossible but it's not that effective. Any guys here doing stronglift while on calorie deficit and still be able to get stronger?

Not a dude but I'm doing SL on a deficit and gaining strength. I'd just make sure the deficit isn't too large and you should be fine.0

So how long have you been on deficit and gaining strength?0 -
You can make strength gains while at a deficit, but they won't be as fast, or consistent. If you are losing strength, you have probably cut your calories too low.0
