Those Doing TDEE, a Question.

So this last weekend I went to watch a horse show. It really is difficult not to be tempted to eat the food there, I usually spend 6-9 hours watching the show and I have no access to a microwave or fridge. I ended up going over my 1800 calories both days. The food is really quite good and you smell it all around you from others having it. I tried eating breakfast before leaving for the show, and packing my own lunch but I still didn't eat how I like.
Since I ate over my calories so bad I am eating 1500 for a few days instead of 1800 to make up for it.
Obviously the best thing to do would be to fight the temptation, however if you know that you may be facing a big temptation one weekend, do you eat a little lower during the week to make up for it, or to "save up calories" for it so you can eat a bit more as you like?
During the spring/summer/fall I will be watching/competing in horse shows about 1-2 weeks of the month. Competing isn't so bad b/c I am often busy so on top of having less time to think about food I will be burning more calories, but watching is a little harder.

I actually changed my diary setting to my TDEE, 2500 calories. On a daily basis, I work toward a 500-600 calorie deficit. When days like that come up, I do not consciously deprive myself of calories on other days. I just roll with it. So long as I don't go over 2500 on a regular basis, I won't gain any weight. And one day of eating at maintenance will not negate day-after-day of eating at a deficit. I've been on MFP since last July and went over my TDEE twice, once on Christmas, once the day after Christmas. I have also had *maybe* ten days total of eating at around 2300ish, giving me only a slight deficit. I am down almost 60 pounds in just 7 months, so that's how I know that what I am doing is working for me.
If you've been logging consistently and accurately, you can calculate your true TDEE to give yourself more confidence about your calorie goals.0
