Well, you've lost 14 lbs since Jan 1st, so obviously what you are doing is working.

Can you up your calories and still lose weight? Of course.

You aren't currently at a long term rate of 2 lb/wk. That would give you a 900 calorie allowance instead of 1200. In order to do that, you would need to be exercising quite a bit every day. You have 30 lbs to lose, so losing 2 lbs/wk isn't recommended. Quite frankly, it will be very difficult to lose that quickly without sacrificing a good deal of muscle.

If I were you, I would dial that back to 1 lb/wk, so eat 1400 calories, and up my protein to about 1 g /lb of lean body mass and start a mix of heavy strength and light cardio training. I would eat back whatever I burn from the cardio and not worry about the strength calories.

The closer you are to goal, the slower the weight will come off. 2 pounds a week sounds pretty agressive. Maybe lower your goal to 1 or 1.5 pounds per week. When you have 10-15 pounds to lose ..... 1/2 pound a week is good progress.

You can strength train without a gym .....lots of videos to help you. Kelly Coffey Meyer is one of my favorites. She has a series called 30 Minutes to Fitness - Your Best Body is one I like .

Collage Video is a good place to "shop" for workout DVDs .... you can view clips, and get reviews.
