Daily Carb intake.

Hi!
I am 25 yrs old, 5'2" and weigh about 128 pounds. I am trying to lose weight and get toned/fit. I work out at least twice a week by running a few miles and doing some weights. I'm confused as to how much my carb intake should be (more or less), to optimize weight loss quickly but healthy.
Can anyone help or guide me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated.

Set it at 40% of your intake. You need carbs to function and they are not the devil.
Set your goal to lose 0.5lbs per week and set your macros to 40/30/30 *carbs/fat/protein).
Another option for you would be to set your calories to maintain (or even gain 0.5lb per week) and lift heavy heavy weights so you build muscle. More muscle will make much more of a difference in the way you look.0 -
carbs are fuel,
YOU NEED THEM!0 -
Despite what the two above me said, you do not actually need a ton of carbs to function.
That said, my previous macro ratio was 50/25/25 f/p/c and I found I was getting really dizzy and shaky after working out (half an hour running/walking and half an hour on 30 Day Shred). I bumped my ratios to 40/30/30 f/p/c and I started feeling much better. I think the best thing is to spend a few weeks playing around with your ratios until you find something you like and feel good on.0 -

I have an app on my phone (Lose It) and I've been entering all my foods for the past couple of days and noticed that as I've began to really eat healthy I am closer to a 30/40/30 f/p/c. I've also cut out coffee from my life and noticed that I do feel a bit dizzy at times, but I'm not sure if this is the caffeine withdraw or the carb intake being a lot less. Either way, thank you. This really helped. :blushing:0
