Les Mills Combat : Calories for Week 1

I am starting Les Mills Combat this week and per their Nutrition Guide I should eat 1200 cals / day during week 1.
I'm going to starve to death !?
I have been working out 5-6 days / week since September and my calories are now at 1900-2100 / day depending on exercise.

Is there something I misunderstood or it's really like a 'shock treatment' for the 1st week ?
