Lent

Anyone giving up anything for Lent? Can't decide what to do this year or whether to add something instead. Have thought about diet cokes, but really don't drink many of those now.

I can't decide what to do though. I'm sure I'll give up salt - I eat a lot of salt. I put it on everything. I'd also like to give up alcohol. I drink beer and the calories really add up. My husband is giving up sweets but I could care less about them I like salty stuff, hence the salt, lol.

Last year I picked up trash anywhere I saw it. This year I think I will do something kind for people.

I'm already giving up enough with this diet, and so far it's not been very successful.

I'm struggling with this too. I've thought about giving Starbucks but I get monster headaches without it. I guess I could make my own drinks?

I'm going to give up using the tuck shop at work. I need to take more fruit and veg to snack on instead of the crisps and chocolate. Hopefully will help me give up the habit of raiding the tuck shop in the afternoons :)

Love it! I often think I should try to be more kind - then I get busy and forget about being kind  go figure!

I'm debating between a 2-drink cap, no beer (but still wine), or no more snooze button...

Anything is better than Starbucks, and a hundred times more reasonably priced.

same issue here.... I havent had dessert in 6 months and only a half a drink in the same amount of time.... thats what I usually give up.... so instead Im adding something instead of giving something up ( stole the idea from someone on another forum)

community service or pledging to drink 64 ounces of water a day are a few ideas

I'm giving up 300 calories a day. Been sloppy on maintenance so it's time to get refocused.

Giving up carbs. Lets see how many days that lasts.
  • I have read where people are adding things like more physical exercise or someone said they are saying the Hail Mary twice a day for Lent but with every word, do a crunch!
