Help With Working Out?

Hey everybody! I'm new to the whole working out and staying healthy game, so can anybody share any good, easy but effective exercises that will make my daily work-out better and help me lose the weight I want to lose? I love doing cardio more then strength, and sadly, I can't go jogging or bike riding alone around my neighborhood because it's not the best, if you know what I mean.
So far just by cutting out most sugars and only drinking water as my beverage, I've lost six pounds, but now my body is getting used to that so I need to start working out and staying healthy with my diet. So if you have any diet tips for somebody who has to kind of eat whatever her mom makes as well, that would be great as well!

Look into Stronglifts or Starting Strength
Cardio is optional
Eat at a deficit
Don't limit food choices instead focus on meeting your macronutrient goals.0 -
As far as diet tips, count your calories and make sure you're eating at a deficit.
For working out. Find some cardio you like and will do consistently, if that's taking a walk after dinner, great. if it's a hip hop class at a local gym or a boot camp video, awesome. Just find something you'll do. Do a good, full body lifting routine. Use weights that are heavy enough to fatigue you in 12 reps (2-3) sets. If you can consistenly do 10-12 reps, the weights are too light, go up. I'd suggest going light to learn form, then lift some good weight. Squats, deadlifts, bent over rows, bench press and overhead press are a good place to start. Find a core routine to do 2-3 times a week as well. Planks are great, or I also love PIlates inspired core workouts as well as the Ab program on YouTube's BeFit channel. If you have access to the needed equpiment, pull-ups and lat pull downs are good, too.0
